Nehemia, is it possible that when Delitzsch or Luther writes about 1Corinthians next to Romans that if you take it to mean that the NT book of 1Cor is actually next to Romans in a Greek Bible. Maybe the comment is more about location in a book than historical location hundreds of miles apart. It may explain some of the other issues as well.
