Hebrew Voices #176 – Palestine Prophecy: Part 1

To demonstrate that the Solomonic temple was built on the Temple Mount using scriptures, you can refer to the following passages:

1. 2 Chronicles 3:1: “Then Solomon began to build the house of the LORD in Jerusalem on Mount Moriah, where the LORD had appeared to David his father, at the place that David had appointed, on the threshing floor of Ornan the Jebusite.” This verse clearly states that the temple was built in Jerusalem on Mount Moriah.

2. 2 Chronicles 6:6: “But I have chosen Jerusalem that my name may be there, and I have chosen David to be over my people Israel.” This verse indicates that God chose Jerusalem as the place for His name, affirming the temple’s location being in Jerusalem.

3. 2 Chronicles 7:12: “Then the LORD appeared to Solomon in the night and said to him: ‘I have heard your prayer and have chosen this place for myself as a house of sacrifice.'” This verse reiterates that God had chosen the temple’s location as a place for Himself, endorsing the site on which the Solomonic temple stood.

1 Kings 8:1–9 and 2 Chronicles 5:2–10 record that in the seventh month of the year, at the feast of Tabernacles, the priests and the Levites brought the Ark of the Covenant from the City of David and placed it inside the Holy of Holies of the Temple.

These scriptural references, among others, support the understanding that the Solomonic temple was indeed constructed on the Temple Mount in Jerusalem.

I think that the prophecy in Zechariah 8:23 about 10 gentiles taking hold of the skirt of a Jew describes the Messianic/Hebrew Roots movement who desire to take hold of the covenant of Yehovah. The word used for “skirt” here is “kanaf”, the same word translated as “corner” in the command to wear tassels at the corners of your garment.

I think this is a beautiful prophecy about people all over the world waking up to the Father’s covenant and desiring to be in relationship with Him.

Nehemia, do you not know that the First and Second Temples were NOT erected on “Temple Mount,” but were built in the City of David at the Gihon Spring? Temple Mount has no water source, an important feature of temple worship of the day.
