If you have been paying attention, you would know Nehemia and Keath teach and prove that the name is not Yahweh, but is Yahovah. Wouldn’t be great if the whole Tanakh could be displayed this way?

Dear Nehemia thank you very much for the Lord’s prayer in Hebrew, I am learning Hebrew as well being lead by the Ruach Hakkadesh, having the desire to learn to read Gods word from the original text, now that I’ve came into the knowledge that all of the Bibles have been tampered with in some way, shape or form by adding to it or taken from it, apparently they don’t care about the punishment the Father said would come to them in (Revelation 22:18-19 “And I solemnly declare to everyone who hears the words of prophecy written in this book: If anyone adds anything to what is written here, God will add to that person the plagues described in this book. 19. And if anyone removes any of the words from this book of prophecy, God will remove that person’s share in the tree of life and in the holy city that are described in this book.) The prayer is very different then how we were taught to say it, question though at the end of the prayer you don’t say and in the name of Immanuel (aka Jesus) as Paul writes to the Colossians 3:17 “And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Immanuel ( aka Jesus), giving thanks to God and the Father by him.” Thats missing in the prayer. Do you have any other prayers or scriptures in Hebrew translated to English like the one on this page? If so may I have the website please?

Thank you very much, I can now say the Lord’s prayer in Hebrew, which is a lot different than the way they say it in English. I need to study the word of Adonai from the original text that has not been tampered with, a lot of the translation has been either added to or taken away, mostly added to. Adonai though promises a severe punishment in Revelation to those who are and take away from his word. I don’t understand though why the Father allowed that, being that his word is Holy.

Just curious. Are these Hebrew words coming from the original Hebrew scripture from where the Vulgate and Septuagint came from, or were translated from the Latin, or Greek, or the English text that we have now? Please do not get me wrong. I am not questioning your authority on the Hebrew language. I just would like to know if there are original Hebrew text of, for example the 4 Gospels in the New Testament. Thank you very much.

Shalom. This was working fine, voice and all until a couple of days ago (but I never did see the English translation). Now I cant hear nothing at all. It just scrolls up to the top of the page when I click on a transliteration or Hebrew word. I have Windows 10.1 and Chrome. But I also tried it on Firefox and Edge latest editions with no success. 🙁 My study partners are also having similar problems with it. It’s a wonderful resource and I hope it will work again soon. I have been researching the Hebrew roots of my Christian faith for over a year now. I found you gentlemen just recently and have watched many of your talks. I also recently purchased a Restoration Study Bible from Yahweh Restoration Ministries. This Bible is based on the KJV, but the name of God,and Jesus are now used as they should be (Yahweh, Yahshua, Elohim, Adonai, and so on). Strong’s Hebrew and Greek dictionaries are included.

If you ever have the opportunity to review this Bible, I would very much like to hear your opinion.

Actually, my bad. Seems that most scholars accept that Jesus would have spoken in Hebrew most of the time. The “error” comes because in some places Aramaic is used, however according to most scholars today the “greek” version we have in the synoptic Gospels is really Hebrew translated word for word into Greek. Nevertheless my latter two comments still seem valid.

Interesting; given that Jesus spoke most of the time in Aramaic, perhaps you can indicate what the differences are between Hebrew and Aramaic. I understood that it was actually more the way it was spoken rather than the written version.

When you say “Jewish Rabbis” do you in fact mean Matthew or do you have a different perspective on who wrote it/preserved it?

Also I do agree that a proper translation of the Old and New Testament is required – I find that there are many incorrect translations in the Greek as well as in the Hebrew – in part this is to do with historical Church politics.

I Just need to point out for some of the people who commented here that some parts of the New Testament were originally written in Greek (e.g. Luke’s Gospel, book of Acts, most of Paul’s letters etc) and so a Hebrew version would be inappropriate.

What system are you using (Windows 7, MacOS X, etc.) and which browser (Firefox, Chrome, etc.)? My first suggestion would be to try a different browser. Also, you must wait for all the files to download, which might take a minute or two on a slow connection (I’m in China over a VPN and it takes about 30 seconds for me).

I see a transliteration that you can listen to the sound… and the Hebrew with the nikud.. but no English translation

As for me, I find this prayer focusing upon a desire for the clearing of the Creator’s title to, and ownership of, each one and all among His created beings, not to mention all the rest of His creation! That is, a prayer designed to make me, you, and all, more apt to give our Maker the recognition He deserves as the Designer, Creator, and Owner of all.

Who needs a clouded title unto that which is truly His own???!

Truly a prayer bringing out the very essence of the TaNaCh message!

Please clarify, which part of the content of this prayer is not appropriate for the teachings of Judaism? Would a lesson on prayer to angels or tzadikkim be more appropriate to the teachings of Judaism?

Though not an NG version, I am working on a Tree of Life Time © ToL version with a focus upon such as pertain to Scripture date stamps, the Creator’s own calendar and Biblical/Hebrew reckoning of time… All of which adds up to a much more accurate ancient chronology than what’s been available for at least a couple of millenia. I guess my formative education in a New York Yeshiva leaves me a bit concerned and biased about reciting the Pater Noster, a prayer so central to Christianity, and written by followers of Jesus. I am certain that you or the other Hakhamim could find a prayer more appropriate to the teachings of Jewdaism in general and Karaite philosophy specifically.

Hi Roger, Karaite Jews traditionally pray a number of prayers that are not part of the Tanakh. For example, Ein Keloheinu has been a part of communal Karaite services for centuries. If there is something in the “Our Father” prayer that is contrary to the Tanakh, I would love to hear about that. I would invite you to read my book “A Prayer to Our Father” for more information.

Nehemiah I am confused. Is the Lord’s Prayer a prayer appropriate to be recited by Jews, especially those who follow Karaite traditions. The prayer is after all from the New Testament (Matt. vi. 9-13; Luke xi. 1-4), and as such is not part of the what we believe to be the Words of G-D. If you have changed your religious philosophy and now follow the teachings of Jesus, perhaps that should be disclosed.

Thank you for not giving the Yiddish pronunciation. It is so hard to understand east-coast rabbi’s when they speak, trying to figure out what is an authentic ‘s’ sound and what would be read as ‘th’. Todah.

Is there an indicator that files are loading, other than browser? I allow the page to load – and when it says 'done' (at the bottom left of my browser), then I tried clicking on the words.
I use Firefox (fully updated). Imac, fully updated..with various tweaks loaded to enable windows based things to be compatible. No probs with other audio/video on other sites. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

To get it to work you need to let all the audio files download before you click anything. This might take a few minutes, depending on your bandwidth and computer set up.

There is no sound when I click on the words. I'll try again later to see if it works. Is anyone else having trouble hearing when they click on the words?

I have wanted to learn Hebrew for a while now but could never afford the prices online "teachers" charge.  Here, at least I can learn the Avinu (Lord's Prayer).  Praise God!

Wow.  I found this yesterday and prayed through it 3 times.   Words cannot describe the emotion of praying to the Father in His own tongue.  Like visiting a foreign country and seeing them smile when we try to converse in their native tongue rather than forcing them to speak in our own.  This morning, I prayed through it again.  Thank you for posting this.  I hope to share it with others and will post about it on my blog.
